An adventurous University of Manchester student and his brother will be taking part in a transcontinental car rally that raises money for some of the poorest children in Morocco.
Stanislas 青瓜视频楽tan青瓜视频� Dembinski, an undergraduate here at Manchester and his twin brother Cyril (who studies at l青瓜视频橢SME in Bordeaux, France) have formed a team, 青瓜视频楾he Twin Turbos青瓜视频� to take part in the .
The 青瓜视频�4L青瓜视频� is a student rally of c.1,500 cars and 3,000 students from across Europe undertaking a near 3000km dash from Biarritz to Marrakech, with participants competing to arrive by the shortest possible route, equipped with only a map and compass in a Renault 4.
Budding mechanical engineers, Stan and Cyril are both excited by the challenge of making sure their Renault 4 青瓜视频� the youngest model of which is about 60 years old 青瓜视频� can survive the long and complicated journey across Europe, through Africa青瓜视频檚 desert lands and, finally into Marrakech. They青瓜视频檙e also using their participation in the rally to raise money and awareness for (青瓜视频楥hildren of the Desert青瓜视频�) that equips some of the poorest children in Morocco with school supplies like books, pens and blackboards and, building repairing and maintaining classrooms, helping about 20,000 children every year.
